Tiramisu Restaurant and it's staff are very blessed to be able to help out at Amazing Graze.
Amazing Graze is a mission of Different Churches, Blackpool. AG Cafe developed out of a need to support struggling individuals and families in Blackpool. With the space and volunteers to make something happen, AG Cafe came to be in May of 2014.
Since its inception, AG Cafe has grown from serving 30 meals a week to between 300-400 meals each Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with a Thursday night opening soon . Our approach differs greatly from the traditional notion of a soup kitchen. At AG Cafe guests are greeted at the door by a friendly volunteer and seated at a set table complete with table cloth and tea light candle.
Guests can then expect to enjoy a two to three course meal served to them by a team of volunteer waiters. On top of the goal that no guest should go away hungry AG Cafe also strives to entertain guests with an array of musical entertainment including, live music and DJs playing everyone’s favourite tunes.
Volunteers are also on hand to entertain children and others to assist guest in finding clothes from our AG resource centre. AG Cafe is about much more than providing a meal. At AG we strive to provide not only a home-cooked meal, but most importantly a listening ear. This listening ear is probably the most valued and essential service we can offer our guests. With many volunteers that come each week, guest are able to build strong and meaningful relationships!
Volunteers at AG Cafe come from a range of ages and backgrounds.
